An Analysis of Contents of Family Practice According to ICHPPC-2 Defined Classifications

Abstract
In order to assess the content of Family Practice on University hospital and to evaluate changes after medical delivery system, the 1,107 patients were analyzed.
The results are as follow.
1. The total number of patients were 1,107 of which 506 were male and 601 were female. The largest group was in the 4th decades of life(25.2%), over age 50, female patient outnumbered male patient.
2. There were 2,917 health problems. The average health problem per visit was 2.64.
3. 321 problems were analyzed among 378 problems in ICHPPC 2-Defined.
4. The most frepuent problems were Hypertension uncomplicated(8.0%), Malaise, fatigue(4.5%), other stomach and duodenum dis/disord(4.0%), compare to 83 study, 3 of 5 top problems are correlated.
5. The categories 16(sign and symptoms ill defined condition) and supplementary classification were 42.7%, 12.2% respectively.
6. The prevalence of problem by organ system showed gastrointestinal system 25.2%, circulatory system 15.4%, endocrine system 10.3%.
7. The referal rate was 1.0%.
